Benjamin Steen Snags a Triple Play!

The DYBA Red Sox ambushed the SOTG Smashing Pumpkins for a 24-4 victory in 4 innings.

The Red Sox bats were clicking up and down the lineup, but the most notable play came early in the game on defense. The Smashing Pumpkins were primed for a big inning, with runners on second and third and nobody out. The Pumpkins smashed a line drive that was sure to plate 2 runs before Benjamin Steen leaped and snagged the ball out of mid-air! Without missing a beat, he quickly ran to tag 2nd, then spun to whip the ball to third to complete the triple play!

"I didn't think Benj could get to that ball, when he did I knew we had a chance for a special play," Coach Thomas Steen said.
