About our Club

Davidson Youth Baseball Association (DYBA) is one of the premier youth baseball organizations in the Lake Norman area.  With McEver Field as its centerpiece, DYBA has been offering baseball in our community since 1952. Gene McEver, for whom the field is named, was the original organizer, coach and leader of youth baseball in our community.

DYBA offers a tiered baseball program for boys and girls, ages 4-18, both competitive community baseball, highly competitive travel/challenge ball through our Force program, all surrounded by free open house sandlot ball and clinics.

DYBA is affiliated with Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth (CR/BR) Baseball which has over one million players on 60,000+ teams in more than 11,000 leagues.  DYBA partners with other local CR/BR leagues in the area to provide baseball in the fall and spring.  Davidson Force teams are formed throughout the year to

Philosophy & Mission

DYBA's goal is to offer the the right baseball opportunity for all baseball players in Davidson and surrounding towns.  We provide an environment that enhances a player's self-esteem and embodies the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and community.  We develop our kids through high frequency, high quality programs.  Our goal every year is to create a fun baseball experience for all kids and families and to teach the fundamentals of the game. We measure our success every season by the number of kids that are excited to come back and play baseball with us again the following season, be it in our competitive community or competitive force programs.
